The Hobbit House

The Hobbit House is a tiny house (15x11'); Full size bed, futon/couch that sleeps an extra guest, outdoor claw foot tub, shower, electric fireplace, and outhouse with composting toilet. The tiny cabin has a patio, picnic table and fire ring. The patio overlooks a pond and is part of a 53 acre forested property in the Blue Ridge. WiFi is now included. Glamp in style! The main lodge is just up the driveway if you need to contact the host. FYI: Outdoor shower/tub is turned off in a freeze.

Happy Mountaintop Cottage w/ large firepit & deck

This small charming cottage is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Glendale Springs. It’s close enough to ‘do all the things,’ but you’ll feel totally secluded at The Happy Place. A fun mural waits for your selfies! Near Hiking, tubing, kayaking, and waterfalls. West Jefferson is within 15-20 minutes. Enjoy the large fire pit or play games at the picnic table (we have a drawer full!). Want to bring friends? They can reserve the other tiny house on the property! Ask me about it!

HURRICANE NOTE: We have power, water, hot water, wifi and cool mountain air. Our road is fine and businesses in the area are opening back up and wishing visitors to return. Tiny home cabin, set in a grove of trees yet minutes to downtown Boone. Intimate two-person hot tub. Propane fireplace, two mini-split ac/heaters, two tv's fully loaded, full size fridge, oven, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, loft with queen bed. Covered porch with grill and hot tub, fire pit out back.

Our space, a custom build from HGTV-featured tiny house builder Randy Jones, is on a ridge with unparalleled, 270-degree views of Grandfather Mountain, all three area ski resorts, on into Tennessee and Virginia's Mount Rogers. We're located 20 minutes from Boone and 15 to West Jefferson, and even closer to the Blue Ridge Parkway and New River activities like fishing and tubing. If you've considered downsizing, or you just want to give living tiny a try for a getaway, this is the place!

The surrounding wildlife, forested area, hiking trails, and bold streams make this an adventurous getaway for the whole family. The Blue Ridge Parkway and New River are minutes away for fishing, biking and river fun. Boone, Jefferson, Appalachian State University are less then 12 miles near.

"Hidden Gem" cabin w/Long range & Panoramic Views

"Hidden Gem" is a cedar tiny home with "Amazing " Mountain views. The views are mesmerizing! The cabin is well appointed to make your stay comfortable & memorable. The Cabin consists of a lounge area, kitchen, bathroom, queen bedroom, loft (bed), screened porch, & deck. The large deck or screened porch is the perfect place to watch a sunrise or sunset while sipping coffee or a glass of wine. The cabin is best suited for a couple- 1 dog allowed with a $75 fee added.

Have it both ways with the Tiny Cabin-a retreat in nature AND a 5 minute walk to historic downtown Todd or 15 to 20 minutes to downtown Boone and W.Jefferson. We are 10 minutes to downtown West Jefferson or Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, 1/4 mile to New River State Park Elk Shoals river beach and 30 minutes to Boone NC. Local attractions like canoeing, kayaking and hiking all within 10 minutes or less. Onsite Yoga is available. TV is for streaming only.
