It's a sanctuary for humans too :)

Crazy Oaks Cottage is off the beaten path, yet a few minutes drive to all Gainesville offers. The house is on an acre, nestled in the woods. Across the road is a beautiful horse farm, maintained by UF. We are close to hospitals and UF campus. Our area is known for a variety of bird species! With very little traffic on the road, it's perfect for our guests with dogs. Morning views are misty and peaceful, and you may glimpse the deer that frequent our yard. Come home to Serenola Hammock!

Great for a relaxing get-away to unwind for a short stay or extended stays. Please note the pool is closed from Nov-April.

Paddle board the Santa Fe River, swim with manatees @ Ichetucknee Springs, or soak in the cool waters @ Blue Springs. From this soft pine-needled space, enjoy the view across the pond, go explore the seasonal garden, feed the fish, and meet our farm dogs. Mostly, enjoy ease and reconnection nature encourages.
