It's like eating in a tree house. Good food. Moderate prices. Easy to walk to from University.

Grins is a San Marcos tradition. The food is good, however I'm not sure I would choose it over some of my other recommendations on the food alone. **BUT** it is a fun place to go, and the food is good. Atmosphere and tradition goes a long way! **AND** they have the BEST 99 cent Happy Hour Margaritas around!!! Monday thru Friday from 3:00pm - 7:00pm. You can't beat that!

Grins Restaurant in San Marcos has been making people smile for over 30-years. The spacious tree-shaded deck and ample inside dining is an awesome place to enjoy an evening with family and friends. World Famous Hamburgers and Texas-sized homemade onion rings, catfish, fajitas, steaks, and more offers something for everyone along with large salads and vegetarian plates. Drinks include famous strawberry frozen margaritas, buckets of iced cold beer, and Sangria wine cooler pitchers. Grins has been feeding Texas State students, alumni, and local families for decades....go, eat, and enjoy!!!!
