If you want to get out to the Olympic Peninsula, Hurricane Ridge is a great destination! There are tons of trails in this area, and you can make the trip out here in one day. You will need a pass to enter the Olympic National Park (you can purchase this at the entrance to the park).

One of the icons of Olympic Nat'l Park, the road leaves Port Angeles at sea level and ascends a mile up the Olympics to a ridge with stunning views of the Olympic Peaks, including Mt. Olympus. Star gazing is a must at night.

Must see spot to talk to the Park rangers, get a small tour of the mini museum. Super informative.
