If you look for a taxi, walk one and a half blocks from Viva Maria towards 30th avenue, where you'll find all empty cabs and all other public buses and 10 passenger shared van. DO NOT TRY TO STOP THEM ON 20TH AVENUE, as they will be hired 90% of time. I suggest you to cross avenida 30 and stop vehicles heading south (towards your left) which are supposed be returning from passengers drop off in north Playa del Carmen
