This is an amazing thing to see! This is one of the more noted petroglyph sites in our area. The ancients were definitely telling a story. Take a look and see what you think they were trying to tell us. Less than an hour from the cottage.

A bit of a drive south but pretty cool to check out. If you are a jeeper, continue on to Elephant Hill trail in Canyonlands. Don't MISS the Joint Trail at the end of the trail. Awesome Hike!

Travel time: 35 min On the way to Canyonlands National Park Southern Needles District this is one of the West’s most famous rock art sites, Native American Indians have been engraving and drawing on Newspaper Rock for more than 2,000 years. The rock is named Tse’ Hane in Navajo, or “rock that tells a story.” And that it certainly does; filled with stories of hunting patterns, crop cycles, and the mythologies of their lives, Newspaper rock is certainly a worthwhile site to visit on your trip in southern Utah.
