Up until the Valley Fire in 2015, Bogg's offered a wide variety of outstanding hiking and biking trails. It's taken a lot of effort and time but the park is open once again.

Boggs Mountain Demonstration State Forest is a state forest in Lake County, California that covers the northwest of Boggs Mountain. It was founded in 1949, and came into operation in 1950 when most of the site had been clear cut. The purpose was to demonstrate good practices in restoring and managing a forest.

Lots of trails for hiking, running and biking.

Hiking and biking trails throughout the forrest. A lot of it was affected by the fires, but there are new trees coming back and still some nice forest areas to get some shade. Bike and hiking trails are well maintained by non-profit Friends of Boggs Mountain.
