Tap room at Occidental. Great classic German-style beers, next to Cathedral Park under the awesome St. Johns Bridge. Todd keeps a painting studio in this building.

While you're down at Cathedral Park, stop in to Occidental's comfortable tasting room for a pint of some of the Northwest's best German-style beers, or head just across the courtyard to Urban German Wursthaus - a low-key, but excellent sit-down restaurant with an authentic German menu. Kids allowed at the Wursthaus, but not at the tasting room.

Occidental makes some damn fine German-style beers and its tasting room is located at the base of the St. Johns bridge. If you want some food with that beer, head across the courtyard to the second-story Wursthaus, which serves up German wurst, pretzels, and schnitzel as well as a killer view of the bridge. Minors are allowed in the Wursthaus.
