Ashton Court is a country park and mansion house with 850 acres of woodland and grassland to explore. Rolling countryside and well maintained paths make it perfect for a longer stroll. Definitely worth a visit for deer spotting and beautiful views of the city. Best accessed by car, only 15 mins drive from Paintworks.

Red Deer park, lovely wooded walks, views across city, plenty of space to wander, mountain bike trail, small cafe and toilets by House, in stables courtyard next to (payable) parking area. If not driving, recent bus route changes now incorporate a First Bus group No.71 ( can pick up 2 mins from house) to extend its route to Bower Ashton (UWE campus, on edge of grounds), via Anchor road, Bristol Marina).

Host to the world famous Bristol International Balloon Fiesta which was once a Guiness world record for letting of the most hot air balloons. There are many things to explore within the mansion grounds from deers to mountain biking. Check their website for other festivals.

Parkland on the south side of Bristol. Great for dog walking, or going for a run. Park runs every Saturday at 9am. Easy access from Clifton Suspension Bridge.
