sandy beaches, hot showers, playground for kids, trails, 2 1/2 miles from here, door to door! I also have a canoe, and you can fish, I personally caught a lake trout that was well over 24" and I let it go, it was spawning!

Spend a day at Gilbert Lake, hike the trail around the lake, spend some time on the beach, grab a snack or lunch from the concession stand or have a picnic or cookout, play frisbee or volleyball...there's so much to do here. There's a playground for kids right near the beach, too.

There’s a beautiful beach tucked into a cove for swimming and fishing is permitted around the lake. There’s also numerous BBQ stations to use as well as volleyball and a massive swing set / playground for kids

A beautiful lake for swimming, picnicking and hiking around the lake with kayak rentals also available. This is a half hour from the Franklin Chalet and great fun!
