if you want to drink a real belgian beer with all the creative brains and actors of the city… one of the most typical 'bruine kroegen' (brown pubs) in Antwerp. if you want to discover the soul of this city, pass by after 23.00hrs.

This is a typical old style café, mostly visited by locals and by theatre people as the theatre is nearby and all actors do know this De Duifkens in which walls are covered by portraits of the most famous actors from Flanders. Language in here is the Antwerp dialect. Friendly atmosphere. Very cosy when it is cold outside. When the weather allows it, there is a small but comfy and nice terrace outside. Nice place for a coffee while reading the newspaper too. Do not interfere in political discussions at the counter.

Between theater houses Bourla, Arenberg and het Paleis you will find this typical Belgian bar. Expect a no nonsense atmosphere, local actors and a great terrace.
