Classic bar -- one of only a few establishments that are open almost year-round. Great for drinks (anytime and into the early morning), big patio, and breakfast/lunch.

The Pirate Bar is family run, serving homemade breakfast, freshly brewed coffee, lunch (until 5pm), as well as fantastic cocktails all day long. They always have vegetarian food options and take great care to source fresh local ingredients. Our personal favorites are fresh gnocchi, carrot cake (yum!), and rosemary and grapefruit Romero Collins cocktail. After 11pm it turns into a lively party spot.

For Hydra’s habitués, the Pirate bar is a day to night meeting point. For the passengers, it’s landmark to experience and to be seen in. Founded in 1976 years ago as the place to party the night away in Hydra in a two story house suggestively located in the middle of one of Greece’s most picturesque ports, the Pirate is where the island’s connoisseurs spend their mornings, afternoons and night.

Taste the Pina Colada cocktail,strawberry daquiry or anyother...they are amazing! Also have a brunch with eggs,bacon,mushroom,sausage and tomato.I have it every time! Ask for Dias( or Zeus,he is the young owner of the place) and say Semeli sends you and says hi! Also ask him anything you want about the island,he'll be glad to help,if he has the time.
