State Street is home to one of the city’s best bars, but it also crafts excellent food. During one recent dinner, the cioppino, made with a spicy tomato and fennel base and stuffed with mussels, shrimp and fresh fish, took our breath away. Not in the mood for soup? The restaurant also makes one of the city’s best burgers and some terrific salads.

This is a popular rustic-chic venue for craft cocktails (I LOVE the blackberry bramble). It's in downtown Sarasota, which everyone should visit while here!

The lounge is located just off of Main Street and decorated in a mid-century industrial chic style. State Street Lounge serves some of the city’s best cocktails and one of the city’s best burgers, along with other “Napa-style” cuisine. The trendy atmosphere is perfect for an early evening bite or a nightcap.
