It is simply spectacularly beautiful, pristine nature that, even in the busiest holiday season is just lively but not ever overcrowded. Bournda lagune is a great place for picnics and parties and safe place for children to swim with the ocean beach just a very short walk over the sand dune. Bournda Island where you have a chance to see dolphins, the resident seal or whales during the whale watching season is a short walk and a little skip over the channel. On 6 km bush walk around Bournda Lagune you will see a range of different landscapes such as rocky outcrops with stunning views along the coast, Teatree and Eucalyptus forrest and takes you past Bournda Island back to the start.
