There are many hiking trails in this area. One of my favorites is from Afur to Playa Tamadiste (beach). This is an easy 5.4 kilometer hike and it takes about 2 hours to complete. Another hiking trial in the area is called Circular Taganana - Afur with a difficulty of moderate and it takes about 7 hours to complete.

Taganana and the north coast of Anaga are a must. Continue to the sandy beach of Benijo for a plunge in the water between rocks as high as cathedrals.
