English Pub in historical building on Barrington St. The lower level feels just like Coronation St. Great selection of local brews and friendly wait staff. The patio is nice in warmer weather, and when it's cooler it's a cozy spot to have a pint and a meal by the fireplace. Great food and reasonably priced - this is our go-to pub in Halifax.

If The Narrows Pub appeals to you and you find yourself in the South End of the city, check out The Henry House, an institution in that area of the city. A beautiful Georgian heritage home with beer soaked carpets and English style pub fare.

At night, go to the top floor and it is a venue called "the drawing room" and it's a traditional speak easy style with amazing cocktails.
