San Pedro Square is the best place to go to get both a crash course in San Jose History and a blast of local culture. Within the market are placards and dioramas displayed in glass casings that explain the challenges that the founders of San Jose had to overcome in order to establish the city. Additionally, the market has tons of various cuisines and drink options. The best part about it is that there will often be live music in the outdoor seating area, and the market is always vibrant with life. There is no age restriction for entering this location and people of all ages congregate here to enjoy something that is uniquely San Jose.

Great downtown spot for a laidback day/night outing, great restaurants, bars, and clubs scene for the locals and travelers. Every Friday there's Farmer's market, and sometimes there would be live music in certain bars, and the Square.
