This is why most people stay at the Kennedy Cabin. It’s not far from the national attraction - the Hocking Hills. Take Route 664 south from Rushville to Route 33. Great hiking, water falls, close to zip lining and canoeing.
If you’re willing to drive just a bit (about an hour), taking a trip down US 33 E to Hocking County will give you one of the most incredible scenes Ohio has to offer. Gorgeous waterfalls, otherworldly limestone formations and massive, historic caves can be found all over the county, and there are…
There is a little pencil sharpener museum here... not worth a specific trip, but if you're passing by...
a little bit of a drive (about 90 minutes) but if love to hike it has lots of trails and waterfalls.
Wonderful place to check-out, breath in some fresh air, explore Old Man's Cave, and hike for as long or as short as you'd like.

“Athens' very best pizza. Voted Best Pizza *every single year since they opened* 15 years ago. Several surprisingly good wacky specialty pizzas on the menu, but the best kept secret is their three pizza deal. Gluten free pizza & subs available, among many other treats. Delivery or to go, no seating.”

“They brew with a farmhouse mentality, deriving inspiration from locally sourced ingredients. While saisons and barrel aged sours are close to our hearts, we also love to brew and drink a hop-forward pale ale or a subtly crafted lager. They also have a full-service kitchen! Our Favorites: Woodthrush, Reinheitsgewhat, Saison du Poisson, Nachos, Barbacoa Tacos”

“Forty miles of trails available and ready for you to enjoy. Meander through the wooded hills of Strouds Run, including city preserve lands, Athens Conservancy preserve lands, biking trails, and horse trails throughout the park. Excellent bird watching and nature study can be done along the trails. The park also offers an 8.5-mile bridle trail built by volunteers from the Ohio Horseman’s Council, Athens County Chapter, working under the Adopt-A-Trail program. The trail can be accessed from the parking lot off Township Road 21 and at locations along County Road 20. Trails are dog friendly leashes are required.”
