Epic Scenery and World Class Skiing. Squaw Valley Ski Resort in Olympic Valley, California, is one of the largest ski areas in the United States, and was the host site of the entire 1960 Winter Olympics. It is the second-largest ski area in Lake Tahoe after Heavenly, with 30 chairlifts, 3,600 acres and the only funitel in the U.S.

Make sure to take a walk over to the Village Inn Squaw Valley, lots of shops and restaurants. in Summer I suggest packing a lunch, hiking shoes, bathing suite, and taking the tram ride to High Camp. There's a large pool, bar and also views for miles. You can hike around the upper mountain or even hike down.

Squaw Valley is a ski industry icon! The Olympics were held here in 1960 and it has been home to many recent big time ski events such as a woman’s World Cup, Men’s and Women’s Nationals, Freeride World Tour and lots of ski and snowboard movies to name a few. Remember “Hot Dog the Movie” ? In the summer it morphs into a wedding and reunion paradise with lots of music including Wanderlust Yoga and music Fesitval.
