Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, the city-owned Morcom Rose Garden is an enchanting spot that is planted with thousands of roses in all different colors and varieties. The profusion of blooms makes this garden a favorite local spot for photo ops. Roses bloom from early May through October. The garden is especially delightful in springtime and early summer. The peak season runs from the end of May until the end of July. Visitors may take a stroll through the gardens, admiring the landscaping around the stairways and walkways, however on weekends, you may find that some areas are in use; the Oakland Rose Garden is sometimes rented out as a venue for weddings and special events.
