You can fish for King Salmon. But buy a fishing permit. Gear is available at the fish shack, in Summer. The Salmon are fresh, good to eat, and just arrived from the Pacific ocean.

This area is chalk full of anglers in the summer. The overview area is walking distance from the train station downtown and is the head of the ship creek trail. The ship creek trail parallels ship creek and is one of the more green trails.
