Turn key operation that will rent you rafts or paddle boards, PFDs, and everything you need. They will pick you up after you float downtown, and return you back to your starting point. Great for a hot day.

During the summer, 'Floating the Bow' is a very enjoyable thing to do. Grab a group of friends, take a Car 2 Go to the Paddle Station location and float through downtown Calgary, then grab an Uber or Car 2 Go from St. Patrick's Island and on to your next adventure.

The Paddle Station provides all the equipment ready at the side of the river, including required safety gear (pfd/life jacket, paddles and safety kit); they even give you a safety talk - all for free with your booking AND take it all from you at the end of your float.

One of our favourite things to do with friends and/or family on a sunny summer day is rent a raft from The Paddle Station (not very far from the accommodation at all) and float down the Bow River. Once you float to St Patrick’s Island you just give them the raft back and don’t have to worry about transporting it back. We then walk over to the Simmon’s building for either a burger and bear on Charbar’s rooftop terrace or some delicious food/pastries from Sidewalk Citizen and a coffee from Phil & Sebastian’s
