The Old Shawl Factory sits in the shadow of this amazing abbey which dates from the 12th century. William Wallace is said to have been educated here, there is a stained glass window in the Southern aisle of the Abbey depicting him. There are free tours of the Abbey, Monday to Saturday and music concerts and events take place throughout the year.

12th Century Paisley Abbey, amazing to visit and spend some time. There's also a café and shop on site. Very easy to find, just down the lane to the main hub.

Guided Tours of the Abbey every Tuesday & Thursday at 2 pm the cost of the tour is £5 and tickets can be purchased from the Abbey Shop
