A really nice bookstore with a whole lot of everything. Also has a café with good coffee and hot chocolate on the colder days.

Visit David Bowie's favorite bookstore, the food is excellent too. Take B train to Broadway Lafayette.

McNally Jackson is probably my favorite bookstore in the city. It is a small independent bookstore with a charming coffee shop within it. No fuss about taking a yet-to-be purchased book with you to the cafe area to have one of their array of teas as you peruse it. No fuss about using the long wooden table downstairs with benches and chairs to write, read, or whatever other project you're working on, you artist you!
