AS220 is a non-profit community arts center that maintains four dozen artist live/work studios, around a dozen individual work studios, six rotating exhibition spaces, a main stage, a black box theater, a dance studio, a print shop, a community darkroom, a digital media lab, a fabrication lab, an organization-run bar and restaurant, a youth recording studio, and a youth program. You can count on some sort of exhibit or performance that is going on when visiting Providence.

The AS220 Main Stage hosts more than 10 events a week. Additionally, the artist-run organization offers printshop workshops, electronics workshops and many drop-in classes.

Great food. Good Bar. Interesting Gallery. Live bands some nights, theater next door other days and nights. And that's just the first floor;check out the offerings of classes in 3D printing, printmaking, photography, dance and much, much more in the upstairs studios or around the corner on Washington Street. This innovative arts incubator has been an important leader in Providence's downtown revival for decades.
