If you're looking for a more stylish cinema experience, the Picturehouse is the place to go. There is a delightful café bar upstairs, so plan a little extra time before the film to enjoy a drink or maybe something to eat.

Exeter's most comfortable cinema showing both mainstream and independent films. Nice cafe/bar.

A small cinema 2 minutes walk around the corner of the West Quarter city walls; with all the latest films and some different. There is a nice bar upstairs, and accoustic music on Thursday nights.

Lovely cinema in Exeter with bar and coffee shop, where you can take your drinks into the film and sit on sofas or comfy seats, showing some of the main films, but also a great line up of quirky new and old favourites - well worth looking up what is playing. The Phoenix Art Centre also show some really unique films, documentaries and old classics, in their tiny, intimate cinema, also with bar and coffee shop. There are often plenty of people in both other these watching films on their own, or with others.
