If you are looking for a place with great food and a great view. The Skipper restaurant and Chowder house is the place! Parkers River Beach is right across the street and you can get an ocean view if you get a table on the deck. The award winning clam chowder is a must try. If you come to visit during the season, I would recommend getting there early to put your party's name on the waiting list, as they are very busy.

We recommend all our guests visit this restaurant. It is seasonal, so they are closed between early October and mid-April. It is across from the beach. If you can sit upstairs there are ocean views. There is a section that is open air upstairs with great views of the ocean. There is also seating inside on the second floor and a large bar area. They have an ice cream window at the entrance and it's fun to order your ice cream and walk across the street to sit on the benches in front of the ocean. There is also a children’s park here.There is typically an hour wait on the weekends so get their early. This is a great seafood spot and known for their lobster rolls and clam chowder.
