The nearest train station to Hawkshead is Windermere which has a bus station and taxi rank directly outside. From Windermere it is a 25 minute taxi drive (approx £25-£30) to Hawkshead village or you can jump on the 555 bus direct to Hawkshead which takes approximately 45 minutes.
