This is like two parks in one! You have Island in the Sky, located North of Moab, which is high on the mesa overlooking the Green and Colorado River and the canyons those rivers formed. South of Moab, the Maze District is more rugged and recommended for more advanced travelers with four-wheel…

Canyonlands National Park is a collection of all the primitive and barren peculiar landforms of the western United States: canyons, arches, stone bridges, peaks and pingdingshan. If you want to experience the natural scenery of the western region, you must not miss it.

“Much like Arches National Park but way less crowded, and closer to drive to. Make sure to pack a lunch or snacks and plenty of water to take with you. ”

Museum
“30 minutes south of Blanding. This museum features pioneers that settled Blanding and Bluff. It’s free to visit and it’s a cool place for adults and kids. Checkout la bunch of log cabins furnished with family heirlooms from the actual pioneers and their stories. There is a place for kids to pan for “gold”, hand carts to pull around, “steer” roping, and pioneer clothes for kids to dress up in. My favorite part is the homemade brownies and cookies sold for $1 .”

Point of Interest
“Newspaper Rock is a great stop on your Canyonlands. If you take the back road leading to Newspaper Rock it will take you about the same amount of time but there is a pit stop for Newspaper Rock that allows you to see these amazing hieroglyphs just off the road. ”
