Mae Sa Waterfall is an impressive eight level waterfall with a small plunge pool for swimming in. It is popular with both Thai’s and foreign tourists and can get especially busy on weekends with families. Entrance costs 200 Baht for foreigners and it is a good idea to pack a blanket or picnic and spend a day at the waterfall. There is a large parking lot with lots of street vendors selling grilled pork and sticky rice, fruit, bottled drinks and ice cream. Mae Sa waterfall covers a large area and if you climb up to the fifth or sixth level there are less people. At the top of the waterfall there are hardly any people so it’s a nice place to get away from the crowds.

This famous 8 tier waterfall is one of Chiang Mai's most accessible waterfalls. A winding path takes you up the river and the various tiers of the waterfall and is a nice spot to relax for a while.
