There is great hiking in Evans Notch including Caribou Mountain, Baldface, Blueberry, and East/West Royce mountains.

Evans Notch is formed on the east side of the Whites, criss crossing the Maine and New Hampshire border and offers spectacular hiking that is off the beaten path of the well used New Hampshire side of the White Mountains. Excellent day hike opportunities a short and picturesque drive away.

About 8 miles North of the Cottage on Route 113, the Evans Notch Overlook provides beautiful views of the watershed divide between the Androscoggin and Saco Rivers to the north and south. It is one of the famous local attractions in this area.
