At the top of the Mark Hopkins hotel in Nob Hill, they have their famous martini menu that goes on forever plus views of the city from all sides of the space. Often has a live band with small dance floor in the center.

If you want the quintessential San Francisco experience, go here. SF staple and awesome view of city (if it's not foggy). Warning: big hill to get there and cocktails are $15+.

Great views of SF. Drinks are $10-14 but the view pays you back in spades.

This is a restaurant/bar, but skip the food and go for the booze and views at sunset. Don't be late; seats can be hard to come by but you'll get a view of the Golden Gate bridge and Alcatraz
