It traces Dr Sun Yat Sen's revolutionary activities in the Southeast Asian region and highlights Singapore and Nanyang’s contributions to the 1911 Revolution, as well as the impact of the 1911 Revolution on Singapore and Nanyang in general. The revamped memorial hall, which re-opened on 8 October 2011, houses a collection of interesting artefacts including original photos, paintings and calligraphy works handwritten by Dr. Sun.

Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall (SYSNMH), a heritage institution of the National Heritage Board, traces Dr Sun's revolutionary activities in the Southeast Asian region, and highlights the impact of the 1911 Chinese Revolution on Singapore as well as Singapore's contributions to the Revolution. The revamped Memorial Hall introduces key community leaders in the early 20th century; highlights Nanyang as a base for Revolution; and explores the impact and influences of the 1911 Chinese Revolution on the Singapore Chinese community.

Neat little museum, beautiful architecture of historical value. Not to mention its central place in history as the Tomenghui resistance's Southeast Asian HQ during the 1911 Xinhai Revolution.
