St. Trinity Church is located in Bansko downtown and is one of the symbols of the resort. Being not only one of the most visited sights in the city, it is one of the biggest churches in Bulgaria. Until the construction of the St. Aleksandar Nevski Cathedral in Sofia, St. Trinity has been the biggest church in the country and on the Balkan Peninsula. The temple complex comprises the church, the bell tower and the fencing wall, and is announced a monument of architecture. The church represents a three nave basilica erected in 1835 by local masters upon initiative of the Bansko trader – Lazar German. Above its main entrance, one can see a Christian cross and a Turkish crescent close to each other – a symbol of tolerance between the two religions. There is a museum by the church also.

One of the symbols of Bansko. A beautiful old and original church and the massive stork nest in the belfry with a bell that is not automated like most these days. Close to one of the village museums.

Old church as part of the Old Town in Bansko is must see. The church is build around 1810 and is typical church for that time. It has as well beautiful clock tower. Starting from the church there are the labyrinth streets of the old town, enclosing numerous tavernas.
