Take the #1 Tram from Park & Clarendon street towards South Melbourne and have your feet in the sand within 10mins. There is a good playground if you have kids and its a lovely place to walk along the bay. You could even hire a bike and take yourself to St Kilda if you were up to it!

I've never understood why people flock to St Kilda when this beach is so peaceful and clean.

Great for a sunrise stroll or a run in the morning, for catching a sea breeze on a summers evening or a day at the beach. Accessible at the end of Victoria Avenue street, walking distance or catch the no. 1 tram. There is also a great children’s playground at the end of the Victoria Avenue.
