This is a great place to visit before you venture out to see the area's elk herds in the historic Boxley Valley - which is not only beautiful, but depending on the time of year you can sometimes view the elk herd in the early morning or evenings. It's truly something to behold when the bull elk are bugling and fighting.

A great activity for kids, the Ponca Elk Education Center hosts a variety of hands-on, educational exhibits in which visitors can learn about the elk and other wildlife in this area. For more information, visit PoncaEEC.com. Free. Open Tuesday-Saturday.
