A fun wee outing for old and young. A yummy café on site. There is also a playground nearby and a marble park which is great for curious minds

A charming interactive village that gives insight into the pioneering days of the late 1800's. Well worth-while are the once a month interactive days when locals dress in period costume and give insight as to what it was like in the days of the early settler to the area

Great place for a lovely and relaxed day out. Every 3rd Sunday of the month is 'live-day' when a large group of volunteers bring the village, which is set up to depict the lives of the Fencibles - early settlers of the 1840s-1860s, to life with meals cooked on the coal range, the blacksmith at work, sausages cooked over the fire in the pub, 56th regiment re-enactments, hand crafts, 1840s candy shop and more. Absolutely worth spending the day, it's always better when the sun is shining of course, but even on a rainy day there is plenty to see and do. It's truly like stepping back in time. Highly recommended. There is an entrance fee, an onsite cafe and souvenir shop.
