There is museum of art, "Rackstadmuseet", and "Konsthallen", if you are intrested in local art. Painters in the nineteenth century, living near the lake Racken is most frequent here.

If you are interested in art or just want to have a coffee in a nice environment you have to visit Rackstad. The Rackstad museum hosts a permanent exhibit of early 20th century art by the members of the Rackstad Colony. They also show fine local craftsmanship of the same era. A park-like area with sculpture by Christian Eriksson and his son Liss surrounds the museum. Don’t forget to take a stroll on the grounds and saunter over to nearby Oppstuhage and the Nytomta handicraft court. They also show temporary exhibits of pre-modern, modern and contemporary art. The museum’s website provides up-to-date information about current and future exhibits and concerts.

Det är ett fint museum, men man kan också bara åka dit och promenera i trädgården och titta in i en av de kända konstnärernas ateljé. Museet utgår från Rackstadkolonin, en samling konstnärer som samlades i Rackstad vid sjön Racken, i början av förra seklet, för att det var så vackert. Och för att det fanns och finns en tradition av konsthantverk, med keramik, smide, trähantverk m.m. Några av de konstnärer som bodde här är välkända och representeras på museer i Stockholm, som vintermålaren Gustaf Fjaestad och Maja Fjeastad. Där finns också ett lunchcafé.
