Theresia Bastion (Romanian: Bastionul Theresia), named after the Austrian Empress Maria Theresa, is the largest preserved piece of defensive wall of the Austrian-Hungarian fortress of Timișoara. It covers about 1.7 hectares of the city center. It was built between 1732–1734. Today it is used as a passage, but it also houses commercial spaces, restaurants, and two permanent exhibitions of the Museum of Banat.

Located in the central area, between Hotel Continental and Fântâna Cardinal Points (on Hector Street), the Maria Theresia Bastion is a baroque monument of great historical significance, being the largest piece of wall preserved in the old city of Timisoara. Other fragments of the former fortress can be seen in the Botanical Park and on Calea Al. Ioan Cuza. If the original purpose of the Bastion was to defend the fortress, it is currently used as a passage for both cars and pedestrians. The Bastion also houses several commercial spaces, restaurants, a bookstore, the Ethnography Section of the Village Museum and two permanent exhibitions of the Banat Museum: "Violin - a passion of a lifetime" and the exhibition "Information and Communications Technology".
