Admittedly a little pricy but the food is good. Don't be fooled by the quaint house the front of the restaurant displays, this place has a great outdoor patio behind that is definitely the best outdoor seating in the area

There are several Thai restaurants on Colorado, (none of them are on my list) BUT If you are looking for a vegan thai option - this place has great food. Also they have the Impossible burger with fries for $13. Can't beat that .

So I haven't been eating meat lately but that won't keep me from mentioning the best aioli and fry combination in town. Burgers are solid - especially the specials (though a little $$) They do a burger week in June - Amazing creations - Turducken burger? with Duck pastrami? Still dream about it .

If you are looking for a childcare space that also serves coffee, Swork is for you, but the better cup of coffee is at Found. The best coffee in town of course is in my kitchen.

Okay, fish tacos - sure, but the thing about fish is it's so easy to overcook and then overspice to compensate. This place has nightly specials with a piece of fish (halibut, bass, roughy) that is well prepared and left alone spice wise. sells out routinely of your favorite. Excellent salsa bar (whatever the black salsa is MMMM) and a solid under $10 meal - the burritos (shrimp and scallop in particular ) and scallop taco

So this is my choice for a Sunday breakfast. They have a benedict served on fresh made biscuits with a slightly pickled kale and either mushrooms, crab cake or standard all with a perfectly poached egg . Great take on a classic I like the mushroom option best

So it's LA and I'm recommending a taco that isn't from a truck. This is a taco equivalent of fine dining. Expensive but truly unique. I'm sad they took some of the more specialty items off the menu but you can still get a duck confit taco, cochinita pibil, and the specials are often amazing (again a little pricy for tacos) lunch specials are decent value - I like the fried taco mussel, potato avocado lunch special $13
