Food Scene

One of my favourite places to go for sushi and Asian infused menu. They offer different specials during the week/weekend and their prices are fairly reasonable. I recommend having early reservations as they tend to get overwhelmed with the masses.

This spot is right across the road from your location. Great ambience, excellent food, superb wine, good service and they even do tea during the week and brunch on Saturdays. A little pricey but honestly I think it's worth it most times. Upset they removed the chicken and waffles but the menu makes up for it!!

Anything chocolate dessert!!!!!! (and more). They produce some amazing desserts using chocolate from local cocoa estates. They are delicious, beautiful and presented with such taste.....I guess because there is also an art gallery below. Trust me, you'll want to take some chocolate home as gifts.

If you like Italian, then try Cadali's Pizza on the corner of Rodalino St and De Avenue. Their focaccia bread is to have. It is opposite Irie Bites Jamacian food and the Burger Joint.

Drinks & Nightlife

It has a nice vibes but you are not guaranteed to get a seat as space is limited. Prices are comparable to other places on the Avenue strip.

Let's just say, space is so limited there during the peak liming hours, folks resort to the pavement. Some pull up with their pick-up trucks for additional seating. This bar has been one of a few fixtures in Woodbrook from time originally a food spot only. It's a cool spot if you don't mind the crowd. I usually go earlier.

This new bar and restaurant recently opened and has already demonstrated the refreshing Trinbago vibes we love. Relaxed, good drinks and nice lime

Sightseeing

This is a historic sight and is just 15 minutes away from my place. Here you can see Port of Spain and the Gulf of Paria. On a good day, you can actually see the south point of Trinidad and Venezuela. It was built in 1883 and there remain well preserved items such as cannons, dungeons etc. Open during the day but the best time to visit is sunset. Trust me!

The lookout at the top of the Paramin Hill was recently upgraded and provided for dual views of the north coast San D'eau beach and Paragrant Bay, and the inland mountains of the north. Great for hiking, beach bathing, agriculture (famous Paramin Seasonings) and refreshing air.

Parks & Nature

It is the widest open roundabout in Trinidad and Tobago. Was sugar estate, then known for horse racing and is now the biggest open area park with a perimeter of 2.2miles. Running, Biking, Street Food at night (De Kitchen) and more significantly Carnival. It's a 20 minute walk but there you get to see our Magnificent 7 Houses, the Botanical Gardens, The Emperor Valley Zoo and might even catch a game of Rugby or cricket. Or catch the beautiful Poui trees in full bloom during Easter when there is mass kite flying. Take a walk up Chancellor Hill for more amazing views but make sure to be in groups.

Arts & Culture

Great for learning about Trinidad and Tobago's heritage. Located around the Queen's Park Savannah in a historic building, you can learn about historic sites to visit and sadly get some insight about those that were demolished.
