This isn't a beach, it is an oceanfront picnic area. You go here for the snorkeling, it is excellent. Very close to the house and an easy way to get into the water for a short time or for all day.

A must vistit when on the Big Island.
This is a very nice beach that we usually have all to ourselves. It is about a 15 minute walk through the rainforest to get to it. The waves are excellent for people of all ages and the boogie boarding is decent. Very nice place.

One of the most beautiful beaches anywhere. Emerald green sand. Good to play in the surf, although it does get rough sometimes. Absolute best stargazing on the planet. Pick a night when there is clear skies but little or no moon. Get up there an hour or so before sunset so they don't stop you from driving up to the summit. 4 wheel drive is recommended. You will see things you never knew existed and more stars than you ever realized were out there.
