Sweet 16th is an East Nashville treasure. Everything Ellen, Dan & the bakery crew offer is someone's favorite. Don't miss the breakfast sandwich. The cheese danish is exceptional, but usually found on the weekends. Follow your gut and order what you want, you will not be disappointed by anything on the menu. If it's peach season, order something that highlights the "Peach Truck" peaches, they are only available when perfect. Get "coffee crack" in your cup of joe instead of sugar. The menu encourages sharing small plates and trying lots of tasty food. Split 6 mezze plates for $24. The Fire Roasted Carrots are a highlight as well as the Whipped Feta. Butcher & Bee is our go to date night place, or good for anytime you want a food forward dining experience. If you are staying at our place, its a short drive ($5 uber) or Long WALK (20min.) up Woodland then right on 9th.

Carniceria San Luis is a butcher shop with some killer foods you can grab on the go. Inside the storefront, order the Hamburger Stilo Monterrey (huge hamburger, with ham, avocado, jalapeños on the side) or the tamales, which are massive and wrapped in banana leaf. Don't forget an horchata. Outside, the south corner of the building has a walk up window for tacos. I believe they are the best authentic Mexican tacos in town. The green sauce is a highlight, perfect mix of spice and flavor.
