Parks & Nature
Lake Merritt is a great place for runners, joggers, walkers but also to relax outside, read, people watch and enjoy the diversity of Oakland. There's a farmer market on the weekends as well as a Bonsai Garden and Fairyland. Lake Merritt is about 5k all around and just short of 2 miles away from the apartment.

Getting Around
Oakland airport is connected to the Bart station and is just One stop away! They hike the prices coming/going to the airport though so it will cost about $10 with Bart and Bus. If you use Lyft, you can get a ride for probaly less than $10 in about a 10min drive.

SFO is connected to Bart and about a 45 minute ride. Bart fare is around $10.

Fruitvale Bart is the closest station to the apartment but I prefer to use 12th city center Bart in Downtown Oakland because it is centrally located to other bus lines and has shorter times and fares to other Bart trains if you want to avoid transferring. The 1 bus goes directly to the city center in about a 15min bus ride.
