Las Trampas is one of a string of villages that sit on the scenic High Road (NM 76) between Santa Fe and Taos; it was originally settled by 12 Spanish families in 1751. Tsankawi Pueblo is a section of Bandelier National Monument that is located about 12 miles from the main section of Bandelier.
