Definitely beats any cinnamon roll you´ll ever had. Worth a visit. It’s nice to see the bakers bake whilst you’re inside too! Only use organic or local ingredients and the best sourdough bread you will get (Sandholt bakery second).

Parks & Nature

A hidden gem in Reykjavík only a 15-18 min walk away! t Elliðaárdalur valley is a peaceful recreation area that not many travellers know about or visit. If you have some extra time we totally recommend a visit to this oasis of the outskirt of the city. It's easy to reach by foot or you can take the car (5 min drive to Rafstöðvarvegur parking lot). This pearl is ideal if you want to enjoy some outdoor like walking or explore the forest and wild flowers, enjoy river and waterfalls or just relax and maybe do some picnic on a sunny day. There are plenty of little paths leading you through the valley. There are even wild rabbits jumping around so a perfect place for family of all ages.

The only place to buy wine in Iceland is in state run stores called Vínbúðinn (the wine store). Here’s a link to their English website where you can find all the info you need http://www.vinbudin.is/english/heim.aspx681 Our advise is that you should stock up on alcohol in the airport duty free store, it’s your cheapest option by far.

Grocery shop that is open 24 hours. Consider this the Marks and Spencer of Iceland. They sell clothes but they also sell groceries and everything is laid out nice and neat with a premium feel to it. Excellent for getting some snacks or anything you want. It has lots of variety but is a bit exspensive if you are on a budget we recomend Bónus.
