Its one of my favorite places to go for walks or a run or bike ride in Austin. There are bikes avail for rental along the edge of Barton Springs Road. But its just as wonderful to bring your running/walking shoes and be on foot. Pedestrian safe Bridges connect south side of Ladybird Lake with the north side. From this trail you have access to downtown, south congress, and feeder branches of the trail from Waller Creek and Shoal Creek.

Inexpensive admission to stroll short trails where the emphasis is on flowers and nature. Its beautiful. The wildflower center is also a research growing site for native Texas plants and flowers. Take pictures.
