At 3.2 miles, Publix is a little further away than Kroger. But it may be more 'on the way' for you if you are going towards the highway or to the Town Center Mall area for shopping or fast food. I also PARTICULARLY like their deli sandwiches! (We like the deli so much that my teen son got a job there.)

This is the most interesting restaurant on the Marietta Square. The food is fresh and good, with unique combinations of flavors. They take the best flavors from the Far East and South of the Border to dish up a variety of hand-crafted, fusion tacos, salads, appetizers and cocktails in a comfortable, contemporary setting.

The museum not only tells the military story, but also the civilian, medical and communication aspects of the Atlanta Camp. There is a gift shop and the friendly rangers can answer questions and give you maps of the 22 miles of park trails. This more southern portion of Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park (KMNBP) is known as "Cheatham Hill". It is a nice place to drive if you want a little more history along with a short hike from the parking lot to the "Illinois Monument". This was the site of the most intense fighting on the Kennesaw line in June, 1864 and was the first area to be preserved in what eventually became KMNBP.
