You actually can't beat Wetherspoons (The Tremenhere to the right of Lloyds Bank) for value for money. 2 meals plus 2 drinks approximately £15!! The food is pretty good (the best veggie burgers anywhere!) and a great 'value for money' breakfast. The place needs a little bit of a revamp so don't expect the Ritz! Lovely helpful staff though.

Best salads and tortilla's in town! Mostly vegetarian and vegan. Friday nights are supper nights and really worth while, a lovely casual evening with a set 3 course supper at £15 a head (includes glass of wine). Jubilee pool is a 1930's art deco pool well worth visiting. Open for swimming from May to September.
Work is in progress to create a heated portion of the pool, after completion the pool and cafe will be open all year round.

A beautiful tropical gardens about 1.5 miles from our place. If you're visiting in April/May then Trewidden is a must for the best display of magnolia trees anywhere!! There's a little café there too.

The gardens are absolutely stunning. Owned by the National Trust, Trengwainton is beautiful to visit any time of year. It's situated near the village of Heamoor, 2 miles from us. It's a nice walk, drive or catch the bus. There is a café on site too.
