This is a lovely little church and worth a 10 minute detour to go and see it. Beautiful murals painted on the inside of the walls. Be sure to leave a donation as it helps keep the church open for visitors.

Okay if you're on the Kona side and need some cheap eats, there is always Costco - they have lots of ready to go deli stuff in the back by the meat section, or get something from the food window up front. Great place to buy Hawaiian food gifts like coffee, cookies, candies! Plus there are clean restrooms and seating available inside or out.

Great place to buy Hawaiian food gifts like coffee, cookies, candies! Plus there are clean restrooms and seating available inside or out.

This is a fun place to take the kids. They have the most gorgeous shop decorations, free candy samples, and the kids can watch them make candy. The candy is a little pricey, but uber delicious and makes a nice gift to take home to someone...although I'd eat it all before it got home!

It's in the Alii Ice company, on the inside circle of the park, kind of hidden. Look for the "We Cool" sign on top. They have a little ice cream shop inside, or take your island pop's and sit down by the water. $1.50 each!

Lots of hands on stuff for kids to do, large aquarium, and clean restrooms. It's not very big, but the kids will love it. About a 30 minute adventure.
